We need your help to get involved and help us win more seats on Tameside Council. There are currently 6 Conservative councillors against 51 Labour councillors sitting on Tameside Council. Unlike the Labour Party we don’t use council taxpayers’ money to fund political campaigning and we don’t get any help from the trade unions.
Between 2011-2015 a grand total of £184,932 went from taxpayers’ money in Tameside to fund Labour’s political campaigning. The Conservatives would stop this along with cutting the number of councillors by a third.

We regularly hold fundraising events with top guest speakers from the government. This allows us to raise more funds so we can get our literature out to more areas. If you would like to keep up-to-date with any fundraisers, then please visit our news page or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to our mailing list.
We get people asking how they can make a donation to the Conservative Party. We are more than happy to accept donations from individuals and businesses across Tameside. Money raised helps us fight marginal seats and get more literature out to people in the borough. To fight an election in one ward can cost us up to £1,200 and with 19 wards in the borough, we need to raise a lot of money each year to take the fight to Labour. If you would like to make a donation, please contact email@example.com with your name and address and we will put you in touch with your local association chairman.
The Conservative Party relies on volunteers up and down the country to help deliver leaflets and knock on the doors of local people. There are many ways you can help, whether it is delivering some leaflets on your street, knocking on doors and speaking to people or stuffing some envelopes for letters to constituents – volunteering makes a big difference in your area. If you would like to volunteer then please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and address and we will put you in touch with your local candidate.
